Some of my other varnish running on the Modutrak Layout this past weekend: CNW 1939 "400", Frisco "Meteor", MKT/Frisco "Texas Special".The photos of the 400 are taken on a model of the CNW lakefront depot built by Keith Kohlmann. It is almost entirely scratchbuilt using original plans and period photographs. The photos do not do the model justice.
Not as impressive as the earlier posting of the Blue Bird with its fantastic kitbashed observation and Pullman dome, but the Wabash Cannonball somehow found it's way to a Tucson train show today.
Continuing work on my next Chicago landmark using CMR's City Hall. I have added the lower wings in front, front steps and outer wing end walls. Some fine tuning is next and then a distinctive roof. After paint I will work on the window panels and finally, the sculpture on top.
