Looks like CSX has some of these ET23DCM's running around already. Interesting locomotive, SD40-2 start, rebuilt with a 6 cylinder GE prime mover. Resulting in a shorter carbody and an SD70ACe-esque radiator assembly. Could we see someone come up with 3D printed parts to make one of these from a donor unit?

I think it would look better when it's been painted, but I quite like the look. That said, I've never been huge on the SD40-2 anyway...

My first thought was that it was inspired by the SDL-39.  No real similarity, but the same "doesn't quite fit right" impression.

I probably could do that if I really wanted one, but the way things are these days, the odds of having it 3D printed before I get around to it are fairly high, IMO.
