Be sure to check out this morning's announcement for the JTC 53-ft containers.  Artwork for the 53-ft container chassis is "under" the Schneider container!

Where is the announcement? I looked at their website and Facebook pages and saw nothing.

You mean like where it says “53’ Chassis coming soon!”?

Where did you get that graphic from? I'm on JTC's email list and the last email I got from them (addressed from Stan Brooks sent on Tuesday) was an announcement on their 40' ONE reefer 5-pack with generator package, a 40' HC HMM mix pack and a bunch of 53' containers. No mention of chassis.

It was on the 53' flyer, under the Schneider can... the image presented is merely a screen grab of same.

Yep, it's there.  Modeling 1974, I never looked at the 53 ft announcement, but checking it, the chassis announcement is there.

I suspect that JTC is going to concentrate on containers, and let Trainworx make the trailers.  Now, if Trainworx could get their problems (whatever those are) solved, and deliver what they've announced, there'd be a lot for both of us.

btw - it seems as if 53' containers riding on chassis on spine cars has become significantly more common lately - perhaps due to supply chain issues?

The good thing about Jacksonville Terminal is that when these are officially announced, they'll be available within weeks, not years. I'm already saving my pennies.

I believe their products are air-freighted and not on a container ship (ironically). Announcing product when it's closer to shipping might help, but even their production schedule is pretty fast. They released a CMA-CGM/Port of Los Angeles "10 millionth TEU" container a couple years ago and it was released only four months after the prototype was unveiled!

I've seen more of it too - also empty chassis on spine cars -- but I don't see how supply issues would cause that.

I heard containers on chassis riding a train indicate a different forwarder, ie. perhaps UPS is the shipper with different schedules to meet...
