Hahahaha. I'm hoping it's a special run (like the Amtrak Day One unit).

I think in the live announcement they made it clear they won't do it. I'm sure people will renumber them though!

Maybe we can talk Rapido into doing their HO UP ACR boxcar in N scale....

But I know what you mean. The reefer only makes it into my 1956 timeframe by 6 months.  And this is the first opportunity I've had to buy anything from Rapido since the meat reefers or the CN baggage car (which ever came most recently). IMRC puts stuff I want up on pre-order for 5-10 years, then cancels.  Luckily, I bought a lot of IMRC AAR boxcars and ATSF reefers and stock cars, back in the day when they were $10, and actually available.

CB&Q bilevels in N are almost a certainty.......
Because if produced, in spite of causing me to source power cars and modernized heavyweights, will force a total rethink of a layout (train watching "Racetrack" aka East End vs. generic ops railroad).

I would love to see the PRR X31 et all in N scale.  A signature car that operated from the early 1930’s to the late 1960’s, and they traveled all over North America (the RPC article on them showed several photos in CA).  Thanks.

If you are up for a bit of a challenge...

The X-31, X-31A, and X-32 are available in resin kit form from Fine N Scale. These kits include etched details, and are not particularly difficult to assemble.  You do need to paint and decal them, and provide trucks.  They make into fine models- and have some dents cast in- so they look like they've done some work over the years.

Rapido has now updated their delivery schedule for the 5820 pellet hopper to 'Available Now!', so hold on to your wallets... especially if you're me.

I received my Procor 5820's last week, in pretty much every scheme except the later Procor black logo and Essex Hybrid cars (too new for me). Overall, very nice cars. I ran them on my loop to see how well they run, and they do run very well, no detail getting in the way of the trucks or hanging below the railhead (zero trip pins snagging on frogs). Probably the best free rolling Rapido cars I have. With a 29 car train there were no issues reversing with the weight of the train on them as they were shoved through (Kato) switches; they stay planted on the rails.

The one issue I did have was some random uncoupling in a few places on a few cars. However, I have had this same issue with new MT couplers as well as with MT clones on other Mfg's cars, so I can't say this is necessarily a fault with the couplers Rapido used.

The Procor 5820 has occupied one of the spots on my list of 'cars I really need', and I'm very pleased to see it crossed off that list with this very nice car. That list has gotten shorter in the past few years, thanks in part to Rapido... just need someone to do those 1970's and 1980's LPG tankcars.

Having a devil of a time getting Rapido to respond to my 3 emails in the last 2 weeks. Next the phone.
This adds to the hassle I had with the Dash 8 .
