Finished my Rail Line boxcar kit. I wanted to paint it up for a car number not offered by Blackstone. I found this car in a Bob Richardson photo at Dolores, CO behind RGS 20 in October 1945. There’s a beautiful roster shot of this car taken in 1946 in Durango as well. With a May 1945 paint date, I went with fairly subtle weathering in accordance with the photos. FWIW, the 3661 is preserved at the Colorado Railroad Museum.

I’m sorting out an industry and siding north of Aberdeen, North Carolina.  This week, I scabbed out a retaining wall from 2” foam scrap, which adds a little square footage to the building site.  Yes, kudzu will hide the sins.

I made some progress on the big depressed center flat. There were a lot of hours involved to get it to this point…

Not a lot of modelling time this past week, but two small steps forward on the Fort St. John Subdivision.

Balsa sub-roadbed laid along the shelf behind the Pine River section; currently steps down 1/16" every seven inches and now has to be sanded into a ramp:

and my friend Kyle fabricated a span to get the trackbed across the rear of the highway cutting.  Needs to be cut into place and painted black:

I also received my second batch of Rapido Trains Procor tank cars and my Prairie Shadows CN cylindrical hoppers this week, so lots of wheel swapping ahead of me.

The future train room at the beginning of the day and at the end of the day. Buffed it, cleaned it, one coat of polyurethane drying. Will go back and add a second today, Refinishing all the floors before I move in, because if I don't it won't happen.

I tidied up the T scale FP7 this week.  It now has "native" Blomberg trucks--meaning, not just sideframes, but the full truck into which the pickups and wheelsets fit.  Also added a closer-to-scale dummy front coupler.   I have a B&O(ex C&O) version in primer, hopefully that will be done by next weekend.   The Blombergs come in handy for some other models, like the MP36 which is an old FUD model that needs to be redone in resin.  The Blomberg trucks will also will fit on the narrow chassis that fits in a hood diesel...that's on the workbench.

Did a test print of the Fraser BC water tank (1:300)..  Roof pitch is wrong, window mullions won't work at that thickness, and the water spout frame is too thin as well.  WIP..
