Looking for anyone who is interested in operating sessions in the Charleston SC area. I moved here from Atlanta and finding it difficult to hook up with people interested in operations.
Thanks

Sadly I'm not nearby, but I can highly recommend:
Callie's Hot Biscuit:

Vintage Coffee:

And, of course, Husk, the reason my wife and I visited a few years ago:

Good luck tracking down some folks. I'd love to come hang out there some time.

I should have added more info, and yes, there is lots to enjoy food wise here so that is incentive in itself. So I have a n-scale Southwestern Pennsylvania RR with 8 track staging at both ends, op sessions are about 3 hrs long running 11 trains per session. Local switching, thru trains, passenger with headend cars. Low key ops currently MMI or track warrents. 1955 late steam and 1st generation diesel.

I’m in Spartanburg. I’d be interested in a getting a group together, but until I can get a few more modules built, I’ll
be mooching off someone else’s hospitality! I think there are a few other railwaire members in SC.

FWIW - Southwestern Pennsylvania RR is a great layout with a great host, I operated on it briefly when it was in the Atlanta area. If you are anywhere near Charleston SC - you owe it to yourself to check it out!
Kind regards,
Bill

I’m in Simpsonville but have family in Charleston so make it down there a few times a year; great town, the Griffin is a cool old bar and there’s some fantastic craft breweries in town; Holy City is a must try and I’ve got a few others I need to make it to. Welcome to the great state of South Carolina!
