From June to November, the main street of the small town of South Johnstone (pop 400), Queensland, sees a steady procession of 2-foot gauge trains bringing in sugar cane for processing at the local mill.
On 28 July 2022, mill locos 9 & 8, 0-6-0 diesel hydraulics built in 1964 & 1960 respectively (though substantially rebuilt in recent years) bring their load past the Criterion Hotel where a cold beer can be enjoyed between trains.

I just can't get over how TINY the windows are on the Comet and Horizon coaches.

My local NMRA Division chose to have a railfan outing for our monthly meeting; we endured a rainy morning at the Amtrak shelter in Tyrone PA. Eventually the sun came out, providing some decent opportunities.  Ten trains during the 3 hours that I was there. It was noted that almost all eastbounds had DPU's at the end of the train, apparently a recent change in operating procedures.  I noted several coil steel cars in a few trains, and an empty and a loaded coal train.
