The Key Imports C&O H-8 Allegheny is a rare one.  They have gone as high as $1800 on Ebay.  If I had gotten it at my original bid of $1200 it would have been a steal.  I dropped out at $1500  Maybe I should have gone $1600 but I have a feeling whoever was bidding against me probably would have gone $1650.  I want one (actually I want around 5 or 6 for a Hinton scene) but not quite that badly.  What really gets me is that I snoozed (literally) through the I1sa Hippo.  I bid $500 last week and someone went $525 the morning of the auction and nobody bid on it during the auction.   I would have gone $700 or so.  The last one I saw available was @cbroughton67 had one on Ebay that went for $850 I believe, but it had a Tsunami sound decoder and weathering.  Plus it was a Chris Broughton special.  All I can say is that BLI better do what the rumors hinted and and bring some of these out in 2023/2024.  They're getting mighty pricey in brass.

I have been hoping BLI will release the I1, they were all over the PRR system and vital to any PRR modeler.  My contact at BLI emailed me about a month ago.  He believes the H10 will be released in 2023, the J1 in 2024, and the I1 in 2025.  The I1 is definitely in the works at BLI, but it is going to be a while.

I guess it doesn't make sense for them to release more than one PRR steam loco a year so that the SPF's and others can save up but It would be nice to get them sooner than 2025.  I turned 62 this past summer and who knows how long is left!  :o  I also really want a J1 (C&O T-1)  but I'd rather they went in alphabetical order and did H10, I1 and then J1.  The H's and I's would be more use for most people. I'm guessing that the H10 and J1 are farther along in tooling.

I'm really encouraged that they are putting out 3 well known steam locos in the Y6b, Big Boy and Reading T1 within a year or so from announcement.

My source indicates the order of releases will be H10, J1, then I1.  Not sure about the timing.

I’d get a J1 and re-letter it for the C&O.  Someone should do an Allegheny.  Big steam seems to sell even when it is a one-road pony.

It would be close but PRR changed the cab and pilot (I think)

I had hopes that Bachmann would since they did the C&O H-4 and H-5  (USRA) 2-6-6-2's and the J-2 Mountain's  But the guy in charge of their development dept passed on and they haven't done any C&O since.
