More Wabash heavyweights.   All are Micro-Trains heavyweights,  with TruColor paint, Gary Roe decals, Tamiya Semi-Gloss overspray.  As before, the roadname or PULLMAN lettering in the center of the letterboards is applied one letter at a time to get the spacing right.     These are the last of my Wabash passenger cars - phew!   Now I have to finish the E7.

Has Gary indicated that he will do the older Wabash script that's done in RR roman?

Not to me, but I haven't asked.

My understanding is that Gary acquired HO artwork from someone else, and had it scaled down - I don't think he prepared the original artwork himself.

That said, if someone did do Wabash passenger decal set in the extended RR roman I'd have to paint up another whole set of cars (and I would, too)!

I'm sorry Dave, I'm afraid I can't do that.

Got a bit of modeling done for quite some time.

First I was very lucky and got a brand new Kato GS4 Postwar Black #4433 on ebay for $125.00 in which I installed a decoder.
I installed another decoder into a C&NW Atlas Dash 8-40C.

And lastly I put some decals on two Kato Budd cars. These were originally Santa Fe ones.
They will be part of my hopefully one day completed Twin Cities Zephyr. The big problem will be the two cars which are not available as models anymore. Sadly there is no stock left from Skytop models. I was too late.

Wolf, these are beautiful! Very very nice, I want some :D and other 36' cars...
Are these 3D printed, or etched sides? Very nice finish.

On this HOT Sunday afternoon, I'm indoors, trying a new (to me) technique: carving stone retaining walls out of purple foam....
The carving is easy, the finishing a bit of a challenge. I'm learning the foam needs to be sealed really well before painting and finishing. Someone suggested Gesso....thoughts?

New tie loads for my BLMA gondolas, built from a single tie I downloaded from Thingiverse. The goal is to replicate the Micro-Trains Conrail work train set, but with a tie loader with an open see-through cab and windows, and with BLMA gondolas.

Wolf,
Again, VERY nice! A bit easier to put together than the TrainCat S-40-8 kits I'll bet. Wondering what you used for trucks?

Absolutely, I imagine this is way easier. I missed the Traincat S-40-8's. Would love to get my hands on a couple of them.
I went with MT Bettedorfs (Should be Vulcan)

Wolf

Curious what the last two cars are

He's missing the Baggage/Buffet/Lounge and the Dome/Observation/Parlor car.  Skytop models produced shells for both these cars (no longer in production).  The 4 regular domes and the diner are/were available from Kato.

I recognize that piece of benchwork.  How beat up is it in its third home and now being probably twelve years old?
