Progress continues outdoors. I hope to have more to show for it later tonight or tomorrow. For now, enjoy a shot that could easily be a scene from Philadelphia’s Route 6 to Willow Grove streetcar line.

The wire started singing before the PCC car came into view, and the camera isn’t quite up to the task of freezing this steel thunderbolt. It banks away from side-of-the road running, crossing one of the many bridges on its winding sylvan journey to the big amusement park at the end of the line. To think the company will soon cut this route back to the city line, ending the picturesque scene of colonial homes, ancient trees, and swift streetcars.
