I was able to have three of my friends from the Twin Cites drive over this afternoon and do an Ops session trial run.  They gave me some suggestions for improving a few things, but overall the layout ran as it was designed to run.

Of course, there are always a few derailments in any session.... :)

We had some trouble with two of the turnouts in Ft McCoy during the ops session yesterday.  Today I ripped them out and replaced them.  I also  installed the Bluepoint turnout controls on them.  They operate as they should now.

I don't believe so.  Here are some photos posted on the Minnesota Layout Operators Facebook page of his layout (Photos by Ken Borowski).  In case anyone cares, I'm the guy in the red shirt dispatching :)

Thanks for this thread, it brings back a ton of memories. I road the Twin Cities Hiawatha between Chicago and Winona MN many times in the mid 60's when I was in college. Enjoy your layout and op sessions.

I got some paint down on the track through Fort McCoy today. About 1/4 of the track on the layout is now painted.

I received a new 3D printed coal tower for New Lisbon in the mail this past week from China.

I cut it out of the supports, fixed a few things, and washed it this morning.  Waiting for it to dry so I can paint and weather it.

Thanks Mike Skibbe for finding this one; much better size compared to the Walthers kit I was going to use (that one was too big).

I finished up the coal tower for now......needs more weathering.

I took a few photos on one of my modules; it has better lighting that the layout room currently does.

Operations Session #2 for the N Scale LaCrosse Division is in the books.  A big "Thank You" to Ken and Damian for driving over and putting the railroad through its paces this afternoon.

As always, a few crew members will be talking to their union reps for accidents that occurred out on the line.....  :)
