For that opening shot of the bridge:  I wonder if that was the original channel of the river? 

It may have moved due to human activity, such as dredging or levee construction, or it could simply have moved itself, especially in a big flood.  No point tearing out a perfectly good bridge, especially since, in high water events, it would still be needed.

Maybe you're right. This is it in 1953 and the whole bridge has water under it.

Finished updating the details of an Athearn N&W double-door boxcar and aged it 20 years. Removed the roofwalk, faux roofwalk grab irons, brakewheel and brake platform. Added etched brake platform, MTL brakewheel and wire corner roof grab iron. Discarded the stock floor and trucks. Added MTL floor/underframe, Barber RB trucks, ESM wheelsets, #1016 couplers. Microscale COTS, ACI and no-roofwalk decals added.

Looks great.  When I improve one of these MDC/Athearn boxcars, I will also add MTL stirrups.  You just need to get a color that matches it closely.  Thanks.

I have just about finished my custom-painted model of Seaboard System F7A No. 116.  I’ll take a breather and begin working on F7B No. 117 soon.  No. 116 was put into service and immediately took the point on a northbound intermodal train.  Here it is stopped at the former SAL station in Aberdeen, North Carolina.

I lived in Westville, NJ until 3rd grade and was very familiar with the Olive Street crossing. I ran across this photo taken by Walter Schopp at Olive St shortly after Conrail was formed and everything was running everywhere. Since then I have been looking for the fairly rare Atlas CNJ Red Baron and was very fortunate to acquire one from @EL3632. It now graces the Olive St crossing on my PRSL layout. (Finally some color on an engine in PRSL territory!)

The first three cars for my Wabash Detroit Ltd.  are painted and in the lettering shop.



Pullman Dorchester (Micro-Trains 12-1)
Diner Lounge (Micro-trains)
Baggage  (Wheels of Time)

I had to cut apart the mid-car WABASH and PULLMAN lettering and apply each letter separately, as the decal set had them spaced much closer together.
DORCHESTER  had to be pieced together.   D OR CH ESTER.  Fun!

Don't mind the dust.  They haven't been cleaned and clear-coated yet.   Actually, the Pullman is only lettered on one side so far.

Pretty sure that is exactly what happened. I used to live in Omaha,  and bicycled in that area quite a bit. There is a pretty good sized flood plain between the Platte and the Elkhorn rivers, possibly the flattest part of the state, and they flooded almost every spring. Waterloo, Valley, and Fremont would bear the brunt of it.
