Daniel……

4.   No slinky effect.

Absolutely not! No slinky here. But still using real metal springs that are reliable and enable super low force automatic coupling. No massive slack either. Traditional N scale MTL couplers have more slack then their HO scale brethren. In absolute terms, not even in scale terms. One you discover the magic of low slack couplers that stay aligned under buff....

No massive slack either.

Sometimes 'slack' and 'slinky' are used interchangeably, tho there is a distinction. It is the springing/oscillating 'pogo' a.k.a. 'slinky effect' that seems to be what most folks find objectionable, but your coupler should be immune to that.  A little slack is ok tho (and preferable IMHO to 'zero' slack).

There is also a sort of slack action that can result from friction in the wheel bearings, tho that is more like a 'stutter step' and usually is much less obtrusive than a true slinky/pogo. It can be noticed sometimes when a train is just starting to move, and/or at very low speeds, even when using couplers that have no spring.  (Larger scales can see it too -- pesky physics again....)

Not sure if this is the most recent thread on these, but it looks like the official launch is happening at NSE in Bethlehem? Photos and information posted on FB look extremely promising. Sincerely hoping this is a success. If so, I have a lot of equipment to convert.

I asked him if he had an estimated delivery time a couple months ago. Looks like they're on schedule with what he thought then. I'm not going to Bethlehem, but I will be ordering a bunch. Hopefully pricing will be in line with other couplers.

Add my name to the list of so excited. I predict a fleet level conversion in my future.

Same here! Especially everything ScaleTrains at the moment. I started to do the MTL TrueScale until they became unavailable.
Attempting to model a modern Southern Pacific based in 2015/2016...

Also, I have a passenger train addiction...

Also looking at a fleet conversion here. I saw the emai and my mouth began to water. Wish I was going to Bethlehem to see them in person.

I was curious as well, so I checked the convention schedule to see when they are actually doing the show. Vendor setup is today and it looks like tomorrow and Saturday is when we will see anything from the manufactures.

I walked by while he was still setting up, appears he might be selling some kits based on the setup. Never did check latter on in the day as I was busy with Free-MoN after we got kicked out of original location and had to move elsewhere. I will get some photos tomorrow!
