Please support your local hobby shop and the advertisers in N-Scale Magazine, and let the advertisers know you saw their ad in N-Scale Magazine. It is very slow right now and we want to make sure they all get through these difficult times.

Pamela, I was a subscriber a couple years ago. But I dropped my sub after seeing a couple layouts in N-Scale that made me cringe. One had the most gawd-awful homemade signals I'd ever seen in nearly 45 years in the hobby. And another layout made the front cover which was made with prefab, pre-"ballasted" track, probably Kato, of which no amount of work can hide the poor look.

N-Scale mag used to feature more fastidious modeling that raised the bar for N scalers. Maybe it needs to return to that?

I hope you will take another look. There are so many amazing layouts. The latest series featured by Dan Lewis is outstanding - Designing a Townsite. You can see his work on the front cover of the September/October issue - www.nscalemagazine.com  There are too many to list. I know you will love what you see.

Agreed!

I felt this same way for a while but the past year has been MUCH better.

Also, we need to remember, Pam can only publish what's sent in. Be the change you want to see in the world. Speaking of, @Pamela Clapp , I think you owe me an email.

I've been thinking the same thing. Pam can only print what is submitted, so if you have something that you want published, send it in. I remember the article about the signals that was mentioned and I just thought that's not how I would do it because it's too clunky. I've got the last three issues and series and the Lewiston series is amazing. I want to get the past issues with the rest of the article.
