CMR Printed Freight Cars N and now Z

These--along with about a dozen others--popped up on my Z-Scale eBay search.
https://www.ebay.com/itm/325202608365?hash=item4bb79600ed:g:630AAOSwHwpijSdr Southern Coil Car
https://www.ebay.com/itm/325202608362?hash=item4bb79600ea:g:tSAAAOSwMEVijSdp Conrail G52G Coil Car
https://www.ebay.com/itm/325202608355?hash=item4bb79600e3:g:Q9sAAOSwQNJijSdp Gunderson Gon (Says 65ft but Looks shorter)
https://www.ebay.com/itm/325202606043?hash=item4bb795f7db:g:Z0YAAOSwxUlijScw Waffle Gon
https://www.ebay.com/itm/325202614100?hash=item4bb7961754:g:pqcAAOSwjklijSdw National Steel Log Car

Anybody know anything about these offerings?  I assume the N versions have been around for a bit?   Any info about how close these match up to something in the real world?

I don't have immense interest in most of the cars, but keeping an open mind.   The specific coil cars seem rare locale-wise for what I model.  But there are some nice side shots online from which I could create full-side decals, and they would provide some variety.  And, they do look to have the major features of their 1:1 brethren covered.  The gons seem a little off, missing (at least) one rib compared to reference photos I could find of similar cars.  (one looks semi-close to Railgon cars which would be of great interest).

Seems the N cars might lack enough detail, but in Z might translate well enough.   There are other issues, but anyway just looking for feedback if there is any to be had.

I wish they included images of the model, not just the 3D renderings.

Hate to say it, but I get the feeling the omission is intentional. They do a PRR/PC/CR G41 car and this is the image posted on their website:

Z scale?  Even though that's pretty small, I would hope they have better samples now.

I purchased their N-Scale 3D printed Alco C430 shell.  It went in the garbage.  Build lines were horrific.

Yah that doesn't look very good.  I just bought some small parts.  We'll see what they look like when they get here.  Thanks for sharing pic Scott.  Any chance of refund?

I didn't even bother asking as I put paint on the model to see how it looked.  I guess I could have pushed the issue but I figured I learned my lesson and will stay away from those parts in the future.  If they were willing to sell the shell they obviously think its a good product.  I'll just stay away and show others my results so they can make their own decision.

Ya know, that shell makes me feel a lot better about those 15 or so Banana H25s I tossed last month.

I ordered a shell from CMR (double-track plow), and it was a mess, but, when I contacted them they reprinted it.
The new print isn't perfect (it's a little bowed on the lower sides where the wings are), but it is much improved, with good resolution and only faint build lines.
It was printed on a different printer than the first (messy) shell.

I also got some printed detail parts that are just fine.
I get the feeling that they are still learning, and they are definitely improving. Note that they started out with cast resin shells, which is what I think is in the picture posted by @GonzoCRFan .     That said, they aren't (yet?) up to the level of Briggs.

I'm sorry Dave, I'm afraid I can't do that.

I like the stuff I've gotten from them in person, but I think it's also impatient to inspect.

There was a thread on the N8 here a while back and I think @daniel_leavitt2000 was able to make it into a decent model.

Yikes. How did that ever get passed though QC?

The plow doesn't look bad at all. Different printer I guess?

Ed... I killed that N8 trying to strip it after a botched paint job. Looks like I may need to try again.

Edit: They have a N-11 now. Don't tease me like this CMR. It better be a good print!

There's a shyness found in reason
Apprehensive influence swallow away
You seem to feel abysmal take it
Then you're careful grace for sure
Kinda like the way you're breathing
Kinda like the way you keep looking away

Easy, when there isn't any.

I just finished a Briggs Models Alco C636 and it was an amazing kit.  This C430 is the complete opposite end of the spectrum.
