I’ve got a bunch of them already, they run fine for me, and I’m not a rivet counter. I can’t wait for you all to dump them so I can get more cheaper

Not to say that the ST ones won’t be better, I just don’t think they’ll be that much better to make it worth upgrading for me

I was just having this conversation with a friend.

Will they be THAT much better than the IM ones to warrant replacing an existing fleet? Probably not.

But if they come in as-delivered Conrail, will I add to my fleet? Absolutely.

just out of curiosity do you have the link?

I am guessing that you might have to be a member of this group (N Scale Model Trains) to see the post.

I'd be in for 1 or 2 - these are local/work train power on NS today often seen with SD60E's.

Hopefully they will play with Atlas/BLI power.

Kinda my thoughts; borrowed power for my shortline that interchanges with them when needed

Does anyone have a photo of Matt G from FVM in a red Scale Trains shirt yet?

I hope it's not a Star Trek red shirt thing...

Okay, I'm surprised no one has said anything about this yet. THE COUPLER IS NOT A SCALETRAINS COUPLER in the picture of the CSX dash 3. Maybe it's a fluke, but even the "drawings" show a Micro trains type coupler.

Dag nab it, Scaletrains! This is NOT what we discussed at Trainfest and other places. ' Thought we had an understanding. If you ever do the -2 in N scale: ONE NUMBER,  PER ROAD, PER YEAR!!!!! SIX ROAD NUMBERS AT ONCE?!?!?!  You do know gas is predicted to hit $7 in a couple months right?

Sakes!!
Buffering...

Is it an N scale loco ?  Track seems tall 😁

Looks like a photoshopped model on prototype track to me.

Wrong UP version, wallet safe.

I wonder who would deliver a UP SD40-N first, IM or ST. ;)

Which ever side of the track I am on is the right side.

I did noticed it in that photo.  Funny if they decided to go with MTL after investing in two versions of the large Scale Trains proprietary couplers.

I agree with wazzou: it sure looks like the models  (loco and the hopper) were photoshopped onto a prototype photo.  They did a decent job, but if you look closely you'll see that the track (spikes, ballast, and the rest of the photo's foreground and background is prototype)

I seem to be in an era sour spot with this company. I own exactly one piece of rolling stock and nothing else appeals to me.

Fast Forties! I am so in! "Fast Forty sandwiches" - DDA40X/SD40-2/DDA40X were the way the world ran in the heyday of my railfanning days back in the early- to mid-'70s.

Now if somebody would only do a decent DDA40X. B'mann's is sorta close, but no cigar.

Not so fast. Fast Forties were snoots with long hoods. ST artwork shows a standard 88 inch low nose on the UP units. I asked, but haven't received a reply yet.

Since that information is easily available and ST tends to do their research, I suspect the models will be correct. They'll catch heck if not.
