ScaleTrains to announce all-new N Scale locomotive at NSE Nashville

Absolutely!  That is true with *ANY* new model release.  No single model will ever satisfy everybody.  Even just by the fact that model railroaders usually have specific model railroad and period they modeling.

If it is another(fill in blank with already produced model, variation of model already produced, neat niche model that will sell but nobody “needs”, etc) then the moans will be double. They didn’t produce what I want and I don’t understand why they chose that. Happens every time.

I would be more than happy to put up with the moaning and groaning of all the modern era modelers if Scale Trains (or anybody else, given the way things have been going) wanted to announce something I could run on my transition era someday layout. Scale length gondolas... a combine... a Santa Fe steam locomotive... you know, the rare and exotic stuff that we've been promised for 50 years in N scale and has never materialized.  Note, I do not expect that to happen, but as part of a modeling segment that is essentially ignored, I reserve the right to complain about it now and then.

Given that SD-40 2’s have once again evaporated from the N scale market, that would give them a big market to tap into.

I'd be happy with a AC44C6M, or a Dash-9 with the BNSF warbonnet.

Whatever they announce, I hope it does well for them and I look forward to seeing the samples in Nashville! Scaletrains makes good stuff, so even if I personally don't need it, I will be looking forward to seeing it run on other's or show layouts.

They had a fleet on order but cancelled them to get more 80macs instead.

Someone on a facebook group found on their website FVM ES44s and RD4 hoppers, hopefully that isn't their "brand new" locomotive.

ScaleTrains says "all-new N scale locomotive announcement", so I'm hoping that it's something other than FVM Gevos. I did see that post on FB, and I do hope it's real, because one of the road names listed was FEC. I'd preordered one along with Citirail a few years ago and have given up ever seeing them. Maybe this will be another deal like the Fox Valley/ Intermountain autoracks? I'd sure like to see Fox Valley back to normal, they have some really great stuff. Could the FVM Gevos be used to do the 25th anniversary BNSF units?
I'm still guessing that the new locos will be either the Tunnel Motors or AC4400CWs. Something painful to the budget.
