I don't think the "Hawkeye Express" was for the football team.  I think it was for the fans.

I'm sorry Dave, I'm afraid I can't do that.

What @PiperguyUMD said: “JFRTM.”

Aly and I set up this track plan a few nights ago, using all of the pieces we have, and we have tried to avoid a demolition derby.  We weren’t completely successful.  Thankfully, these Lionel trains are durable.  :P. The Polar Express is much faster than Thomas.

That might explain the look on Thomas’ face!

Strange to see a Shay with a feedwater heater. It wasn't built with it. Maybe something with running in Canada's cold winters? Also it says Abitibi on the side. We used to get paper from Abitibi in Canada. Well all the paper comes from Canada and used to ship in CN boxcars at the Erie freight station across the street.

Finally back to layout construction. Working to finish the New London / Boston extension this year.

I am curious as to both why you added the wood strips on top of the metal shelf supports and how you attached them.

Thanks in advance....

Here are some of the N scale models that I brought to the PRRT&HS Annual Meeting in Harrisburg last week.

I weathered some meat reefers this morning.  I bought these because a buddy of mine from Iowa had one or two and I like the reporting marks......SUCX......looks like something else from a distance......yes, I'm a child, I'm fine with that..........  :)

The wood strips are held via wood screws through holes in the bottom of the brackets. The plywood roadbed for this level will be screwed directly to the wood strips as it will be a hidden level.

Great work! Even if it is Pennsy... :)

Kind regards,
