I had to hike in a bit to get this view of Strata's Foods, since there is no public access to this side of the building.  I was able to get a shot of corn syrup and vegetable oil tankers being unloaded for retail repackaging.  There was also a boxcar of corrugated cardboard being unloaded, to be made into retail shipping cartons.

Due to some family emergencies it has been an extremely hectic two weeks. No modeling was done. I did take some time Labor Day evening, to make a quick cab ride video on the layout.

I apologize for the poor picture quality, as this was made using a very cheap, very small cube camera, which does not play well with the LED lighting in the room. Anyway, here is a northbound run as viewed from the cab. As you will see, there are a lot of areas that need finish scenery and detailing. There is a sound glitch 3/4 of the way in. The loco sound didn't actually cut out, but the camera apparently glitched.   Disregard the date/time stamp as well.

I usually never purchase pre-built structures, but I did make an exception for representing Primo's Deli & Market in New Milford.  The N scale Woodland Scenic's "Franks IGA" built up structure was a very close representation for my N-Scale Housatonic RR.  I removed the huge roof sign, added some HVAC equipment, moved some attached details, made a new sign for over the door and weathered it.  I also had to expand the parking and delivery access.  It saved a lot of scratchbuilding time for this foreground structure.  I do need to add a concrete sidewalk, then glue the building down, to eliminate the gap, but that will wait until I finish up the background scenes, so I don't damage any foreground structures.

Just discovered this thread , it's a very special layout that you have , with a layout like that you don't have to go out to railfan anymore !!!

I had seen pictures and videos of it before but didn't know you had a thread just for it , reading it is like a Christmas morning for a kid !

Louis, it is only fitting to name the location "Letourneau Gorge."  Visiting and operating on your amazing layout inspired me to add a tall steel trestle scene to my layout, even though there is nothing like it on the prototype Housatonic RR.

Louis, it is only fitting to name the location "Letourneau Gorge."  Visiting and operating on your amazing layout inspired me to add a tall steel trestle scene to my layout, even though there is nothing like it on the prototype Housatonic RR.

Love the beaver dam and hut.  I am planning on something similar, with the planned layout being located in the Beaver State.

My wife and I got hit hard by Covid for the last couple of weeks, but we are recovering. I couldn't do much, but was able to do some more pavement for the Bleachery and EPI, in New Milford. Added some storage buildings for HH Taylor & Son, along with some grass, weeds and some details, like the jersey barriers along EPI's lot and flowering bushes in front of the Heritage Hotel.
