Earlier this week there was other goofiness including photos with absurdly incorrect aspect ratios.
I think that's more a reflection of a really poorly done "roll-out" of the new Kato website. For example, the smoothside passenger car link (at the moment) takes you to a "404" error: https://katousa.com/N/Smoothside/index.htmlSame for the 20th century: https://katousa.com/N/20thCentury/index.htmlEarlier this week there was other goofiness including photos with absurdly incorrect aspect ratios. And even having the licensing agreement, some RR will only allow the new, out of paint shop versions of cars to be produced. Ie, no graffiti. UP and CSX are like this, so you can do the graffiti but have to change the reporting marks
A few years ago, I was speaking to an Atlas rep and they mentioned that, in order to license a commuter logo, they had to make it a different size/shape than it was on the prototype.
I'm not sure I understand the logic here. If it's licensed, why would a logo need to be different?
I believe they were talking about MARC .. we still don't have any cars from them AFAIK
New website is now live. SOOOOO much better ! At least in my opinion, everyone has one
HO does.I believe Atlas did modern commuter cars as well (HO).
It's still got spinning text. I like the retro vibe there. But there are so many things that I'm like "why didn't he just do the normal thing..." when using tools that make it easy like Woo Commerce (which he's using)
