Finished the RBB&B lights generator wagon #130, and a second Case L1 tractor.

I keep hoping for warmer weather to resume work outside, but for now, I made some minor repairs and recorded some railfan videos of the indoor layout that got me through the winter months.  Enjoy!

I think it was in Martinsburg (or Millersburg) PA that they had a similar trolley flyover like that. Will look it up later when I get home.

I'm in the process of modifying two Atlas cabooses to become Maine Eastern/Morristown & Erie #5 and Morristown & Erie #100. The cabooses are former SOO Line, so are very close to the Atlas model, just need to rearrange the windows. One down, one to go.
Have a fun weekend.
Cheers
Steve

This week (really the last several) I've been working on 1:300 scale narrow gauge rolling stock, and to a lesser degree starting work on a small T-gauge layout incorporating a couple scenes on the WP&Y in 1:300 scale.

The layout is just a T-track module with a simple "bean" shape loop, which will be good for testing and a bit of diorama-style scenery.  I'm trying a new track construction technique using Duck-tape cork roll (1mm thick) applied to foam with carpenter's glue with the sticky-side up.   Here's a couple shots of a test track section (regular T-gauge flex plus grout for ballast) with an autorack.   Curves must be cut to shape from the cork, but it's cheap and not difficult and seems to work.

Ballasted and painted, the standard gauge T flextrack looks ok although the ties are really oversize and spacing too wide.  I previously made some scale track using 3D printed ties and code 55 rail, but it really doesn't have enough relief for the stock T-gauge flanges and the flex-track is just easier to deal with.  The narrow gauge flextrack ("wider sleeper flex track" looks pretty good as a representation of 3-foot NG in 1:300 scale.

I'm almost done with the prototype of a 3D printed 1:300 MLW DL535E shell designed to sit on a modified TGauge 6-axles powered chassis (or unpowered);  It has etched brass handrails, and more details (plow, different stack, lights) and accurate sideframes.  White Pass & Yukon decals to come.  A set of these would pull a modern passenger consist--or a 1960's ore train.

I also designed a 45-foot narrow gauge coach body (also 1:300) that incorporates brass car sides and etched end railings and trusses.  This is a rendering of the "assembled" model (3D printed core with etched sides). The sides will have half-etch as well, which isn't shown.  This car could be powered if necessary but likely will just be free-rolling.  This is a WP&Y prototype (J.G. Brill & Co.  1881 for the  Texas & St. Louis Ry.) but I have sides drafted of a D&RGW coach as well.

More amazing stuff Jesse!
I thought that T gauge track was used for 1:450 scale trains, and you mention 1:300?  Either way, your models are just so tiny, but I'm curious about the scale "thing".

Using standard T gauge track for a larger scale narrow gauge track.

Like HO track for On30.

Thanks!  My reading comprehension is in the dumps again. My brain missed the "narrow gauge" statement.

I've done some more work on my engine shed, namely the wood shingle roof. Here is one of the roof panels so far.  :)

Finished a P&WV PS1 in late 1950-s black.

Latest revision of the Micro-Trains PS-1 (body-mount coupler, see-through roofwalks)
Tru Color Weathered Black

Giving the BLI SD40-2s a test run today and decided to try get some arty shots. They will require some extra work to remove/add Milwaukee specific details.

Finished up my throwback Reading GP-7, and posed it with some 1970s era boxcars.  The Microscale numberboard decals were too big, so I printed some using Excel.  The font isn't exactly correct, but :|
