Broadway Limited announces next run of ES44 units, CSX Pride in Service

These have now been pushed out again to Q1 2023. 

We got a Walthers order into the shop over the weekend, had some of these marked as BackOrdered/Cancelled so I guess our allotment won't be fulfilled.  Unfortunately for me, 2 of the units marked were mine.  But Brian's already hunting down from our other suppliers

The latest run of paragon 4 locomotives run flawless. no loss of power or stutter at all. The SD40-2 have wire leads going to the trucks for improved performance.

My P4 SD70’s ran at a 6 day public holiday show last month without a hitch. They don’t have some finer appearance elements (e.g. they have one-color handrails, like Kato), but for running they are great.

I also hand it to BLI for getting the NS ES44AC's correct - FVM, as nice as they are, did not get the endrails or dynamic brake vents they need to do the ES44DC as a follow-on.

BLI website was updated yesterday to show that these are in stores now, so should start showing up any day at your favorite retailer

I was expecting the Kato Amtrak sets to come out first, but I guess not.
I have the CSX Veterans unit pre-ordered, and if the KCS Safety unit sticks around long enough, I'd like to pick one of those up, too.

Which Kato sets?  My NSLHS (Not-so-Local-Hobby-Shop - DCCTrain in Cincinnati @iccn1000  ) just shipped me an ALC-42/Superliner starter set and Superliner 6-car set plus a separate ALC-42.  He just got them from the distributor Friday.

Those sets. I've got them reserved at my local hobby shop, but he hasn't called me yet. The handful of online shops I check daily haven't shown them either. The single locos have been out for a few weeks, though. Good to know that they're showing up somewhere.
