I have only dealt with Wig Wag at trains shows (where I first ran across them and maybe why the store is a disaster) and occasionally on line. There website makes it tough to tell if an item is in stock or not but their pre-release prices are usually excellent.

Nobody has mentioned the store in Colorado. Since BLW is no longer listing new stuff that is coming out, I go to (afraid that I'm not to mention the store name) that Colorado store and look at their 'news and info' to see what is in the pipeline. I really am missing Capt. Blaster.

Back to the title subject:

I just received my Fruit Growers Express reefer sets from Hogtrainz yesterday, and MB Klein just got the Weathered set up on their site, today.  The "clean" version was up a couple of days earlier, but not before I had already ordered from HogTrainz.

Prices? Hogtrainz was $11.54 cheaper for the weathered set, but $0.26 more expensive for the clean set.  And shipping was only $10.95.

I'll still complain about the Hogtrainz site's interface, but that's all.  MBK has a much better site, and better availability of the small stuff, but they seem to be slipping on the big ticket items.  Hoping that isn't a continuing trend. MBK used to be my go-to site, especially back when I could literally go to it to see new stuff and pick it up to avoid shipping.

What I find amusing about this thread was back in the day, people here used to complain about BLW's website being confusing, not well organized, etc, compared to other sites. NOW, after other sites have gotten more complicated or lacking, people here are pining away for that good 'ol BLW website, where you could find everything and not search forever for a particular item. Lookin' at you Peteski....
Ain't it always seem to go, you don't know what you got till it's gone ...

Never heard me say anything negative about BLW. I started with Tex-N-Rails (loved their mini catalogues that they sent out monthly, but they never really made the transition to the web). It's been BLW ever since then...until they wanted to retire (understandable especially since I want to retire). I would think that it should have been easy for Hogtrainz to just rebrand the BLW website and keep that going. Instead they have a website that looks more of a bad example of what poor HTML programming looks like.

Paul has written in his e-mails about his efforts to get a new site even warning against a company that took money but didn't produce anything.  Last I remember it was going to be before the end of last year (with a new company), but that obviously didn't happen.
