As an old newspaper man from many years back (I worked in the composing room for a moderate size daily, for 4 years, just as I got out of art school in my teens and early 20s), I can't help but assume the presses are somewhere else.

As it's a very small newspaper, they actually print it upstairs....
I visited a turn of the century newspaper in the Netherlands a few years ago, and the thing that occupied the most space was the type setters...

I edited a picture of it in b&w.

It looks a bit more historical like that...   ;)
