Springtime or summertime. Still have to finish all of the roof detail. Might 3D-print the brick portions of the REA/USPS building first.
FYI, I tried the ABS resin today. It’s flexible, about halfway between a rubber type material and the standard rigid material. It needs another half-second per slice layer to print. I see how it could work with car and locomotive bodies, but I’m going to stick with the standard resin for buildings.
@SkipGear Tony, I ordered this off Amazon last night. It won’t be here for a few weeks but I have other things to keep me occupied in the interim. This supposedly produces crystal clear results with no yellowing. I’m going to try printing the windows flat and see what happens. This will open the door to multiple projects if it works. The reviews are overwhelmingly positive, and the negative reviews refer to things that aren’t relevant to rendering windows. With the latest conversations revolving around printing quality and printing supports, I realized that my best successes are the models that are printing vertically as they have all the cross support needed in the actual model. The circus stockcars were perfect due to the floor and roof fully integrated with the body.
On that frame, the air tank on the left approximately under the door, will that need some additional support from the build plate end? It seems like it would start to print unsupported.
