It gets old. Like in the 1:350 ship model world. How many versions of the Iowa class battleship and USS Enterprise or battleship Yamato do we need. Yes each one seems to be better then the last but give it a break. We'd like something new, anything as long as it's different. Btw, between Riverossi, concor and Athearn I have five big boys. I don't need another.
. . . or F-units, or GG1s, or . . .
Oh well, better than this.. Or these...Remember when we got all bent out of shape about 2 mfgs making an FT?
Yeah, I get that the Big Boy is an iconic locomotive and all, but I really wish we could see some USRA designs that ran on multiple roads. Like their Mikado. An 0-6-0 or an 0-8-0 would be ideal.
Even a re-run of the 0-8-0 that walthers ran about 15 years ago, with some modernizations and improvements would be nice.
Unless you model Sante Fe
Ill probably never see a factory built 3800 class 2-10-2 but no Santa fe steam whatsoever? Drasko
Here we go again. I wonder what Broadway Limited marketing people were thinking? Or not thinking. They could have at least decorated the Big Boy in a fantasy Santa Fe scheme, right? Make it into ATSF 4-16-4 loco. After all they are doing fantasy schemes on that Pennsy electric.Just pulling your leg Drasko - relax.
Which at this point is complete bullsh!t. It baffles me honestly that nobody has brought out a 3751 class Santa Fe 4-8-4. Ill probably never see a factory built 3800 class 2-10-2 but no Santa fe steam whatsoever? Drasko
The funny thing is I had you in mind when I made that comment. TBH I wish someone (not bBachmann) would produce some SF steam. Lionel just released a 2-10-10-2, if that can sell, so can all of SF's engines.
