The Machine Shop at the Evanston Roundhouse is a really great place to set up modules!  The town of Evanston is to be commended for spending the money and time to restore this facility and keep the turntable working  :D  Although not exactly a center of population, I always enjoy tremendously both setting up and/or attending the model railroad functions the ex-UP roundhouse complex attracts.

I am glad I made the event, it was a ton of fun. I was a short 7 hour drive away. Not only was the facility great, the people of Evanston were very accommodating.

I’m also honored to be in the video (I’m the Karl at 2:45 in the video). I love FreemoN and what it does for our hobby. It’s also cool to see everyone enjoy the layout. We had free runs and we did an ops session too! We had 4 amazing dispatchers coordinating traffic over this layout. It slowed amazing well! I will also give credit to Lee Calkins for designing the layout. We knew where every module was going before setup ever started.

Thank you! The military loads are a mix of various offerings I could find for free via the interwebs. Plus a few custom-designed ones from my friend @up__1995 who also designed the TPDX style flat cars some were running on.
