New run of Atlas Trinity Reefer packing issue

So i got the 13 ARMN reefers from the new run and about half have floor issues, most have the center of the floors push in so the floors are arching in and some have the trucks fall off and one cars has the platform completely off. Looking at the plastic box it looks like the factory forgot to put the clear plastic clamshell so the car is basically held by half a clamshell and it got a little mess up. I going to contact Atlas and let them know and hopefully the floors can be straighten.

That's pretty drastic!!  Can you figure out what specifically in the packaging is causing the problem?
Also, the car's floor seems to remain bowed, after it is pulled out of the car's shell.

The clear clamshell is missing, only the white clamshell that the cars are sitting in is there.

Looks like permanent plastic deformation!   :o  I doubt those floors can be straightened out.  I would call Atlas and ask for replacements.  At these prices I would expect better.

Woof that's bad. I'm out of town, but I know I've got a number of Tropicana reefers of the same run waiting on me at home. I'll have to see what mine look like once I pick them up at the post office.

How did that cause the floors to "cave in" into the car's shell?
I imagine that in order for this to happen there should have been some force pushing either the trucks or the center of the floor inwards.  The shell would also have to spread out for the floor to bow in. I'm just curious and trying to figure this out.

The warped floors are unrelated to the missing clamshell.   Both are really sad.  I'm pretty surprised, both that they left the factory that way and that Atlas passed them on to distributors that way.

I have no idea, but the other 20 or so reefers at the LTS look similar. The case don't look like they were tampered with since the plastic rap inside the box was factory pristine. But it is missing a big piece of protection and the floor is thin. Looks like they all bend around the same spot close to the end of the weight on the non-reefer side. This car do sit for over a month in a hot container while being shipped halfway across the world.

Thanks for the heads up, I'll have to check the ones at our shop.. I didn't notice anything odd, but I didn't look at them closely.

Same here, I work Saturday so I'll see if they arrived and check for abnormalities

This car do sit for over a month in a hot container while being shipped halfway across the world.

Heck, for all we know, they sat for a month off the port of LA waiting to get unloaded...

Looking more at the pictures, Even without the top insert, that type of damage is extremely odd.... You would need to put  a decent amount of pressure under the floor to get that kind of result..

Allowing the car to move around a bit inside the case, may cause the floor to come loose, or maybe turn 90degrees into the body.. but not push itself inside the body..

And I'm surprised they passed through the Atlas facility like that without someone noticing.. (but maybe they don't open cases.. But they sell through the website, so they open 'some' cases, and I assume they do some spot inspections.
