email and password .. I use a password manager that provides a randomized password for each site -- so no threat for me .

I could have sworn I uploaded something there long ago and now I can't find it. I do know you can download stuff from there without logging in.

I just tried a bunch of my different e-mail/password combos and finally found it:
https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3246563

They don't even have my real name  :D

And now I know why Thingieverse sucks so much. I thought I uploaded an ore car. And now I see I did. But when I search for "ore car" I only get 13 results and none of them are my car. In fact only 3 of the 13 results are even an ore car.

Lol well maybe that is why I could never find it after all these years     I must of uploaded it, but never made it live. Probably why it has never been downloaded...  :tommann:

Apparently I never clicked "publish"

https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3246563

This is nothing special. It was just one of the first things I printed once I got my own printer.

I uploaded a small Brookville to there earlier today and it now has almost 400 downloads. But just now I uploaded the same thing in O scale and 3 minutes later it has 27 downloads.

And  (what's the point)?
Either you have very popular designs, or the download numbers are not real? Or something else?

I've seen the same thing on 'downloads'.  Very wild numbers that make no sense.  You can look at the same item and see either less or a lot more downloads vs. the last time you looked.  I don't believe they are accurate and don't pay attention to them anymore.  I have a little more trust in the 'collects' and 'likes' but still don't totally trust the counts for them either.

The site for sure has some flaws but haven't found anyplace better to put designs/prints where others can download them.  I'd like to hear from others if they are happy on another site  :).

I thought it might have been popular, but after seeing the other number I think it's either fake or there are bots that just download anything.

When you view the analytics it is also for the past 30 days (you probably knew that) but you can change the time period at the top right if you want to go back further,

Had no idea, hardly ever visit the site or even know how to use it.

I just tried to change the dates and you can only choose a day in the month. You can change the month (that I can see).  No matter I was just curious if anyone downloaded.

Also odd the items list they were downloaded hundreds of times, but the view count is 0.

Of course in true fashion it is listed as HOn30 in the title and I keep getting asked what scale it is... Oh and I was asked to make it in On30... You know you can just download the HO model and re-size it. I think there are more modelers who have printers without knowing how to create a file for it.

What exactly is a "collect"?
