Even after following the instructions for chrome to set images to show, I am unable to see them.
Any other way of seeing them.

Amazing you can work on Shapeways parts in raw form. It is like working with crystal.

Thanks Max!  Now I seem to vaguely recall that in the past you did mention that source of tungsten.  The price seems a bit steep, but if you say it is a good deal, I believe you.  I was hoping for something less pricey.  I recently picked up a package of pure tungsten 1/8" diameter TIG welding electrodes on eBay for $28.  Their total weight is 270g, but they can't be packed as tightly as cubes, and they have to be cut.

Well, 4 oz of 1/4" cubes at one of those pinewood derby places on line typically costs about $20.  So a pound at that rate would be $80.  And those are big 1/4" cubes.  So $109 doesn't seem out of line for a pound at the rarer (and more useful, for N Scale) size of 1/8".  The Pinewood places never have 1/8".  Welding electrodes can be bought much cheaper, and I have some of those too.  But like you say, they do not pack as well.  Cutting them means a Dremel disk, but it's not too bad.  Cutting cubes (which I've had to do) is more a process of just grinding one down to fit using a diamond Dremel disk.

I hate hate HATE it.  Never again.  I will use commercial styrene engine bodies as kitbash fodder, or scratch build everything.
But this is the first and last time using brittle FUD plastic for me.

That's odd. One of the workarounds should have worked.  You could try another browser.   I use Seamonkey and have not problem seeing those images (so far).

One brute-force way I can think of is to use the "Quote" button in one of the posts with photos.  That will bring the contents of the quoted posts into the text editor area.   You will see the forum's codes for all the images.  It will look like this:
Code: [Select]

Then just copy the URL of each image (jpg) and paste it into a new window or new tab of your browser.  For example
Code: [Select]
http://www.maxcowonline.com/photohost/rocket/052_completedEngine_IMG_6209.JPGThe browser should then display that image.

I didn't necessarily mean how brittle it is. Just that when it is raw clear like that you can't even see what you're looking at. Are you looking at something on this side or that side. I always have to prime the parts. Same with my home printed stuff, it is slightly translucent and the detail really doesn't show up till I prime. I guess the cool thing about clear parts is you can watch your drill bit

Ha!  Well, I certainly meant no disrespect to John.  He does superb work and I think making add-on kits with detail parts is a great idea.  But trying to retrofit an operating mechanism into what is essentially a frame made of FUD... no.   Not a fan.  And drilling/cutting/adapting a whole FUD body shell for a kitbash, drilling it, cutting it to add things to it... very frustrating stuff.
(But then, people would probably say it's awful trying to do that with all brass and metal pieces, too, so to each his own).

This is truly an astonishing and inspiring project.
Can't wait to see it in action.

Well done sir.  Amazing.

If the design were mine Max, I would have created a design that had all of the mechanism in my CAD assembly so that when you ordered it you would only need to buy/make and install them.  No, FUD ids NOT kitbash fodder as you are used to, but as a purposed, robust design, it can be great, and I have been able to overcome the surface finish issues with some simple techniques.
