Ex-PRR SHORE Tower fire (7/27/2021)

Posted in the PRRT&HS mail group today.

SHORE tower in Philadelphia suffered major damage the night of July 27th when it caught on fire (origins unknown).  Built in 1896 it was/is the oldest tower still standing on the PRR line from Washington DC to New York City.

True.  I'd say a demolition is in it's near future.


Perhaps, even prior to the fire.

Honestly, I'm surprised it lasted this long.

Is there anything inside at this point? I figured it might hold relays or something, but even that would surprise me.
