In all seriousness, I checked your blog the other day for news on the layout move. Looking forward to seeing it come (back) together in October. I may have mentioned this at some point, but I've been following along with your blogs since the Scenic Ridge project, and it's always been enjoyable.

Why did you put the floor down first?  It would seem to me that you risk damaging it in the construction of the walls and ceiling, not to mention that you might have wanted the walls to sit on the concrete floor with a vapor barrier that wraps under the bottom plate and is sealed to the concrete.

MK - It's Karndean LVT (glue down).

DFF - Given how hard it is to get contractors these days, I just have to get stuff done when the opportunity presents itself. The guy who will be doing the walls and ceiling is aware of the new flooring and said he would try to be careful with it. But at the end of the day, it's a workshop and I figure wear and tear is pretty much inevitable.

Just put down heavy paper to protect the floor. They did it for our acid etched concrete floor.
