Thanks! I have a five-car set of those: three singles, and one married pair; with another married pair in progress. They're all limited-production resin shells on repurposed walthers Metroliner drives.

I want a model of one of those more than I should, but sadly I have little use for an HO or O model, but that’s what’s out there.  I’d love some in N, but they never quite make it to the top of my list to try to kitbash.  And God help me if I ever see one in 1:29... I’d spend wayyy too much!

I grew up riding SEPTA for fun, and later on made friends with several employees there through trolley museums.  That’s how I got several historic maps.  So, for anyone wondering where a Crum Lynne is, here you go:

Used cut-down grade crossing inserts to build the platform-access-extensions for tracks 2 and 3.
This was a required element from the build kit, as a Blair-Line Wood Grade Crossing.

Cut a walthers bungalow house in half for the first of the homes in the neighborhood.

Started greening the scene

Every tree used in scene was carefully flocked with three colors of ground foam, to give them a little more depth and variance.
The 1960's traffic lights were a required element from the build kit, but the street lamps were more ebay finds.

The corner building represents the very edge of Baldwin Locomotive Works, which was amassively sprawling facility just to the south of Chester Pike in this area. Some of you may recognize the kit used as an old AHM factory from the 1970's.

Years ago there was a triangular NEC layout that floated between stops on the corridor. An Acela might blast past a silverliner using a flying junction …

That triangular layout lives in Ohio now; the owner offered it for sale to us at one point. He wanted 10K for both it and the truck it lives in, and wasn't willing to separate, so we had to pass on that offer.

We do have a second contest module that got started and was put on hold due to complications, but at some point it will get pulled back out and finished.
It's actually a really cool scene, where the corridor passes beneath the B&O/CSX main at 58th street in Philly.

Is that where the SEPTA airport line branches off? That would be a nifty scene.
