Mystery Object

I guess I have to build one of these things (the black thing in the foreground), but I'll be damned if I know what it is. Any ideas? It's sitting at the end of a railyard amidst various other bits of detritus and effluvium -

Maybe it's 2 or 3 things, hard to tell.

Thanks,
-Mark

Looks like a bucket from a skid steer in front and a 3 point hitch scraper blade/grader behind...

My first guess was a pickup mounted plow but the wheel kind of throws me off.

Ryan, I believe your right with most of it but I don't think there's a bucket there. I believe that's just the way it hooks up.
Looks to me like the frame work is part of that quick coupler to a skidsteer.

Could be, the one thing that makes me think they are separate is that the appear to be slightly askew to one another.

Mark do you have shots from any other angles?

Sorry, I don't. It wasn't really my focus at the time, lol.

I know that you are a bit OCD when it comes to accurately modeling what you documented (and that's what makes your layout so interesting), but then again who knows, maybe that thing is gone today. Maybe just turn a blind-eye  on it, and skip modeling it.

Good find, John - that's definitely spot on. I don't think I'll kill myself striving for too much accuracy here, but at least now I have a better idea of what I'm dealing with.

Thanks!

So its a grader attachment for a skid steer? Interesting.

Yep, exactly that.  I seen it on YouTube on one of the various channels I watch.  Think it was Dirt Perfect.

Watch Dirt Perfect about his Kubota before you jump on buying one :D

And then ask my dad about his brand new Kubota and how he feels  :RUEffinKiddingMe:
