They're all Canadian cars. But they definitely would have made it to the US, shipping from Canadian shippers, but probably in comparatively low numbers the father out you get.

Thanks - maybe I'll grab one of the NCTX cars too (1973).  :D

And The Canadian in on the continent! It’s a little late but that’s not unusual for The Canadian...

Thanks, that is a great roster!  Looks like the numbers offered were in service up until 2014.  I've been toying with the idea of getting a tank train together for my W&LE locomotives to haul - were these cars ever in LNG service in addition to the gas and aviation fuel service shown on the roster?  There are a ton of PROX tanks hanging around Rook Yard, but my photos show newer T208 cars.

Fantastic news - these cars were definitely in play on the BCR's north end.  Going to need Procor and North American.

Thank you Rapido!

The "new" dates are actually in the artwork of the 10 cars, you just have to enlarge it enough for your monitor. Right-click (or whatever for your browser) on the image to display just the image in its own page. Enlarge until happy  ;)  as there are plenty of pre-1975 dates represented.

Yes, and be very careful with this least the MRR Police visit your layout and destroy all of your rolling stock that doesn’t fit your era. 😜

No, strictly general service liquids tanks, not compressed/pressurized/liquified gas.

I live in New Milford, CT. Housatonic RR is local freight carrier.
They haul PROCOR tankers (and many of them), full of alcohol to
Pharmco nearly everyday. Medical grade alcohol. Sometimes they
Have these cars stashed all around.
I'll need to get a few.

If you’re concerned about old style Rapido couplers, that’s not what they mean. The modern Canadian Rapido has no connection to the Arnold Rapido of yore.

This is the kind of common car that should be commonly available at a price point commoners can afford.  I've come to accept that a freight car well rendered can be a good value at north of $20, but gone are the days when you could load up on "good enough" models of common prototypes such as 100 ton hoppers or general use tanks like this to fill out a fleet.
Limited runs pre-ordered at high prices works fine for oddball locomotives, but how long must one wait for the next run of a stupid freight car?
Then this stuff comes out, and the after market (where let's face it, I am now a full time resident) goes nuts because some clown sees the price of a Bluford hopper so he thinks $ 28 is a good price for a 40 year old Atlas car.

Also this resource is VERY helpful for Canadian cars:

http://nakina.net/private/private.html

NCTX cars were built in 1973.

UTLX/Procor cars were built from 1969 through the early 1980s. Their roster is.... messy.... with lots of non-contiguous number groupings, but you can check the Rapido numbers against the roster in the link above.

The group with Alberta logos was built in 1969, but that may or may not be a late 1970s repaint...
Woah not related to the Procor dates but thank you so much for that link, great resource that solved a long time mystery for me about something else!

I've always wondered how they ended up with the same name.

Not to encourage thread drift, but this is a valid point. Your voice is not old, just experienced. Its been hilarious lately seeing exactly this at shows: Tables full of crappy cars from the old days marked up to ridiculous levels. I smile when I see the same dealer with the same table "full o' junk" over & over again. Just because you bought a collection from the 80s does not mean people will pay 2020s era prices for it. Thats entertainment!
