I honestly am one the people that poo-pooed the idea of teflon lube on the FEP. I am of the camp, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it." I have not seen a problem so was not looking for a solution. I have not had an issue with anything sticking to the vat on my X. I've only ever had one failure and it was my fault, (supports actually need to touch the model). I'm still on the original FEP after printing probably 30 runs of caboose parts and various other things. My Mono has never made the "pop" noise that every says to listen for. I was concerned at first but as prints were coming out better than expected, I accepted as my new norm.
My Photon S always made the pop when working right and went through FEP about every 15-20 prints. I can see how making the FEP slicker would make things last longer, just because of less stress on the film. I may try it on the S and run some prints before I give it to its future owner.
