First of all, thank you to all our customers who stuck with us, and were extremely patient and supported our endeavors while we worked our way through the difficult world situation we are all living in.

N scale GP20ECO models are in the store and shipping now. These are extremely nice kits, and the first we have designed to utilize Nickel Silver for the etched components. This material gives higher strength than brass, natural metal color parts, and can be soldered easily. As a little bonus because of the long shipping times that many of you have experienced this past year, if you purchase 2 kits you will receive a 5% discount on both. If you purchase 3 kits you will receive a 10% discount. If you want more than 10 kits we can do something special for you so please contact me.

Now for a few announcements. This year we will be producing body & detail kits in N scale for the GP38-2WL, Baldwin AS16, DRS-4-4-1000, and U18B. For each of these projects, we will be producing a run of only 50 units. If we don`t have and emailed interest for 50 they will not be done. We will honor the 5% discount for 2 kits and 10% for three or more on these kits.

There will be no cash up front from anyone. All we asking is that you contact me and let me know how many of the kits you are interested in and I will contact you when they are ready to be sold on our website. Again, we cannot produce a kit that does not have an interest of at least 50 possible orders. Please contact me through email only and not a PM on the any of the forums to confirm your interest.

Sirenwerks. We would love to do an AS616 but trucks and wheel spacing would be an issue. What model would you suggest we start from? I am not aware of any that have the correct wheel spacing.

Yes, the AS616's trucks are a freakshow and the locomotive's length would require a radical frame hack, limiting their candidacy for your fit-existing-chassis business model, but that doesn't mean I still don't wish for an AS616 out loud whenever I get the chance.

I am not sure.  The prototype RS units were about 2 1/2' too long between the bolsters, but I never took apart the actual Atlas models to know whether they were on par with that measurement or closer to being a feasible mechanism.  The problem for me is fiur axle Baldwins weren't really a thing in the western US.  PiperGuy was planning an AS616 model at one point but I don't know how it was going to come together, I just remember it being talked about - https://www.therailwire.net/forum/index.php?topic=32922.0.  That being said, he had a AS16 shell in production, IIRC, so you two might have something to talk about, and he was planning a C636.
