I will definitely get some. Rapido does a wonderful job on their models.

OK. Now I get it. "Santa Monica Municipal ..." #2525 was the bus in the movie "Speed".

With that joke over with, how about a real bus from the era and area, in SCRTD yellow, huh? Like the ones I rode every weekday to work for five years?

Nice! I almost bought one in HO just because they were so cool, but now I'll actually be able to put a couple on the layout, even though they're probably not prototypical for today...

Likewise, I almost bought the Speed one in HO, even though I have nothing in HO. My wife loves that movie, so I've got the green light to get one in N scale now.

Seriously, I commuted in those buses to High School.

Me too, in NYC!

That is an awesome news, especially knowing that quality-wise, it will not be anything like a CMW Buick Estate Wagon!!   And since it is not a wooden vehicle, there are no worries about board gaps!   :D

The floors of the new looks were wood. Not to worry though as the vinyl flooring hides the gaps.

I'll get a few even though they don't really fit my era. NYC models must be excited!

@rapidotrains, for your next bus, might I suggest:

There's a shyness found in reason
Apprehensive influence swallow away
You seem to feel abysmal take it
Then you're careful grace for sure
Kinda like the way you're breathing
Kinda like the way you keep looking away

I would vote for CTA- Chicago Transit Authority.  The Chicago bus and train service. Although it would not surprise me if the band of the same name had one too.

But if I have to, I'll buy a white one and pretend it's primer for the right color green.

Just preordered mine.  I'm getting generic silver but will need a baby blue to do an accurate Baton Rouge repaint . . . .

Give them time. I'm sure they'll get around to em, especially with such a big market.

I remember riding this at KSC for the NASA tours.

When I wasn't in coal country, I was in the Washington DC area. I remember DC Transit, but from my teen years on it was MetroBus and that's what I remember most and rode.

Here's one of the later (I think) schemes:

I held off when they did this in HO

If these came to N I would have to buy (but route 17a).

$35 to $40 for an N scale bus with working headlights. Gee, wish my Trainworx semis did that.
Buffering...
