Yeah, Matt said in the Train Show video that there were three on the underside, front and back. They are supposed to be independent. Any sign of that in the documentation that comes with? If so, that should make it a lot easier for NS style front and back alternating ditch lights.

Curious, no wiring diagram for the Nano, and on the long Kato board, the front/rear lights are on Aux1/2, not HLF/HLR
