If it weren’t for a group on the B-36 Peacemaker I would have little to no reason to visit FB. The photos taken by those who actually flew and serviced or restored the actual planes is pretty cool. I tried the N scale auction guy but to sit there and watch what he offers randomly didn’t keep my interest for long.

While there were items that interested me, my turn off was other members and their spending habits.  There are 2 other auctions running now, PnP Trains, who has a lot of older MicroTrains/Kadee cars/sets and NorCal Trains Auctions.  A lot of his stuff is personal collection items, modern equipment as well as parts lots.  Both of them move very quick with items instead of dragging an item out for 10 minutes at a time.

Back to FVM talk :D

It was staring us in the face the whole time..

I did message them to suggest updating the page with a big logo to forward them to the shop.

Does Matt have any new products in the pipeline? I know he had some medical issues with one of his children that interfered with operating FVM a couple years back. Is that still ongoing?

I saw the "New Online Store" ad, but just assumed that it was a new page on the existing site.

I know, that's what i get for assuming...

Well, one can assume with FVM only pushing out the ex Red Caboose and Deluxe Innovations stuff; Intermountain taking over the Tier 4 GEVOs a couple years back; the ScaleTrains thing with the FVM/NSE Dash 9 in the foobie NS paint schemes; cancellation of the NSE/FVM UP 1943; as well as the recent announcement of IM doing the ex Red Caboose autoracks via an arrangement with FVM, I assume we wont see anything brand new for a while from FVM.

Or even the old FVM stuff, like wheels, and MILW boxcars.  Oh well, I have all the boxcars I need, and the old PM wheels work fine.

Looks like I'll be thinking about kitbashing a MILW 50 ft double door box, though.

I picked up a few items by looking at his "lost & found" page the other day...  if he finds something in storage, you often get a chance to buy previously discontinued items, or early runs.

That ParticularlyWierdRailroadSite north of the border run by the Knights Templar shows some Fox Valley items with 2021 ETAs.

Hiawatha and CSX Heritage GEVOs.

From the main page, see N Scale, Coming Soon, then Fox Valley Models.

I was scratching my head for a while too, then it hit me: PWRS.   The proprietor sure is a strange individual.

I've never had any dealings with them, but I'll take your word for it.  Some of their ads have looked a little odd.

I'm also not a fan of companies moving to FB for doing business/announcements.  :| While not yet, I guess at sometime we will all be assimilated. But I'm still kicking and screaming!  :x

Me too...  Plan to avoid FB until the day I die, but apparently it's the only way some of these companies communicate now.

I've sent several E-mails to three model railroad manufacturers over the last few months (three to NWSL and two to FVM) inquiring about products and none have been answered.

So it appears that if you don't join FB and pose any inquiries on their FB page, you're SOL for getting any response.

I've never had any luck getting an email to FVM answered BEFORE they moved to Facebook.  I quit trying several years ago, which is why I asked here.
