So true doug. When they do a run ill be stocking up. I only have 1 lonely I in my roster

Yep, the I1 is the really big hole in the PRR N-scale world.  I really need a bunch of them.  It was curious why BLI did the T1 instead of an I1.  The PRR had I1s all over their system, while the T1 was very limited in number and time duration on the system.

Your correct about that, they were everywhere. Maybe they just wanted to go big or go home, don't really know but i love the T1s I have anyway. However yes, if they do the I1 I'm in for both long and short tenders.  I wish they get the whistle a bit better.

I talked to Ken Silvestri about that at a show many years ago. Think the big boy or the GS-4. They had very limited prototypical application, but they are just cool. To put it another way, do you want to make a model that 100 modelers are going to buy 10 of, or a model that 10,000 modelers are going to buy 1 of.

Given that BLI is run by SPFs, I'd say the odds are good for I1sa ... eventually (at least 2 runs in HO so far)

Yes, I am hoping we can get an I1 from BLI.  It is sorely needed in N scale.

I am building one based on a Kato Mikado chassis, but it is a lot of work.

You Pennsy guys are getting all the fun, lately.  When are we going to see "Capitol Limited Imports" to produce the B&O goodies like the Q-4, S1a, P1d, E-27 and B-18 locomotives that dominated the next road to the south?  Don't get me wrong, I love the EM-1s and the I-12 cabooses, and those wagontop box cars, but you can't really model most B&O trains without a whole lot of foobie stand-ins, (or a lifetime + of scratch building and kit bashing).

I corresponded more with the BLI rep today.... He said in terms of releases for PRR steam, BLI will be releasing the following locomotives, probably in this order:

H10
J1
I1

In terms of the I1, he said it is in the design phase and will probably be released in 2024.

That's great news.

To be picky though, I'd rather they went in alphabetical order H10s, I1sa, J1 but still, if the farthest one out is 2024 that's only 3 years.  Hard to complain at all.  Except now I have to figure out what to do with the Bachmann Spectrum Connies that I stashed to make H8/9/10's.

He said the order of the releases are not set in stone.  I would prefer the I1 or J1 before the H10, but I can't complain with more PRR steam on the horizon.

With all the pennsy stuff out there it wouldn't be too hard to switch era and go N scale pennsy steam.

I want the J1/C&O T1 but I could wait.  Having the I1sa first would be nice, but since it is just tooling now I wouldn't expect it too soon so the H10 is good.  From what they told you last year the tooling for the J1/T1 should be done and just waiting for a good time/production slot.  An H8/9/10 and L1 would be good for modeling branch line PRR but I've got the GHB L1 I'm set in that area.

BLI could do so much for N-Scale steam with what they've got in HO already.  Hopefully they get the ATSF and N&W locos shrunk to N soon too.  So many people would be happy I think.

Remember the M1 was promicwd "next fall" and it took BLI 11years to get it to market.  Take all expected delivery dates with a grain of salt.
Not BLI but Ive been waiting 7 years for the IM F9 :(

I think we're past that these days.  Remember the Heavy and Light Mikado were announced in May 2019 and showed up in August.  As did the first run of the P70 coaches.  They haven't formally even announced these so you can't start the countdown clock ticking yet.

I've also been waiting that long for IM F7's.  Gave up and bought Katos but I have to either redo or 3D print new shells.

Lol, just about the reverse order I guessed.  But OK, I'll take 6.

I'm on the other side of the coin because I want H10's to work my way toward this...
