Also I think the woddgrain depth may be necessary. Would the track paint hide that detail on the photon print?
Thats impressive, whats the print time comparison? as well as what settings are you running in the new unit?Another question, what software do you draw in? the Wood grain is impressive and I'd like to know how you did that
Is that printed standing up or flat?
I may be in the minority but I think the grain in the ties looks more realistic in the Photon print. The tie plates are much sharper in the Phrozen print, no doubt, but I think the wood grain is a little over cooked.
You know in real life Bryan makes real railroad ties
If you have any test prints you'd like me to do send me your 3d models and I'll print them (if they're reasonable). I'm looking in all my nooks and crannies for things to print.
I have a model you can test, and if it measures accurately, well I might just spring for one of these. I’ll compensate ifor materials and pay the shipping to get them back from you.By the way, have you tried to print small holes in the Z-X or Z-Y plane yet?
The boiler and tender shells in this album. https://goo.gl/photos/TU4dQ9gCizR6i7Za8If you look through the entire album you will see printed holes and slots used for etched details that plug into them, in addition to a long 0.25mm wide x 0.25mm deep groove along the side of the shells for stainless inlays. The holes are a separate question. Have you tried to paint a very small hole through a wall where the hole’s axis is parallel to the build plate?
