Shoot, what's the right TTRAK height? 2.75"? It's that.

.75" dimensional lumber + 2" foam.

It is technically a requirement. But like all module standards there is a general acceptance that if it works well and is compatible its up to the discretion of whoever is organizing everything if they include it or not.  At least East Coast its more the latter. Sort of like how Brooklyn NTrak used Tomix Expandable tracks as their interface. (RIP those modules) when the standard was pieces of Atlas Re-Railers. I have gotten blessing to practical test out my Handlaid TTrak module in a layout on Dec 9.

At the very least, you have to have Unitrak joiners at the ends of your module set.  Unlike N Trak, which uses clamps to keep the modules in alignment, TTrak relies solely on the Unijoiner keep the modules clicked together.

See Ed's adaptor that he 3-D prints that lets you do that.

Yep. The joiner and geometry is key. Everything else is just convenience.
