Nate,Got it! The Xuron sprue cutter, wondering which one? I may or may not have one. Thanks again, appreciated!
The pictured truck is a 50's era 700 or 800 open cab mid mount ladder. These were probably one of ALF's biggest sellers.
If I'm not mistaken, the prototype uses those distinctive "Napoleon Hat" trucks. Kato sells those as spare parts. Small additional modification, and it would look even better.
I have a set of those trucks, but the mounting system is that newer "clip" system instead of the older phillips head screw that is on this car. I'll have to see if I can make it work.
I seem to recall that @bbussey was able to easily install those clip-on truck on the older kingpins with a screw. I think all that needs to be done is to cut off the little clips on the new truck, then just install them same way like the older trucks.
I installed ESU 59820 Lokpilot Micros into the Bachmann N Scale Thomas & Percy. They run fantastically. The short wheelbase & lack of caps really did not affect operational performance. They have coreless motors and run just as good as any other current N Scale engine. The Annie & Clarabel are Tomix, I have since ordered the Bachmann ones, and the goods wagons/freight cars are UK prototype from Peco, Dapol, and Graham Farish.
Though I have to ask, for anyone who is more into T Trak, should I just... jigsaw buzz off the back of this thing. This CMR kit is a lot deeper than the official Kato/WS one.
Here is one being delivered:https://www.youngstownfire.com/1944-firetruckdelivery
