Potential N Scale announcements from Athearn

I was watching the Athearn Tuesday that they host on Facebook every week at 3:30 CST. For those unfamiliar with it, they usually announce new products, discuss current runs, and then at the end, they have a Q&A while showing a railcam feed to do some virtual railfanning. Towards the end of the video, they announced that they will be having a special live video next week on Monday, the 28th at 3:30 CST and it will be a big day for N Scale guys. I had asked during the Q&A for a rerun of FP45s and F45s and they heavily suggested that I watch next week's live feed.

I figured I would pass this on to everyone in case someone missed the announcement or didn't know about the Athearn Tuesday videos. I think they also have the live feed on Youtube for those who don't have Facebook.

Sure like my Athearn ATSF superfleet FP45! Looks and runs great and it weighs a ton.

I had one before I sold it. I agree it weighs a ton, I don't think I've ever had one that weighed more. I just wish athearn and bachmann would move away from the econami skinnied down version of sound and include a full startup / shutdown and other functions (full throttle) like esu.

Mine was an analog unit that I added a Loksound to, so it's a real gem now!

Very interesting. I dropped by their Facebook livestream today, but it was all HO talk.

I hope what they plan to announce next week will be something brand new in N scale, and not a mere re-release.

Thanks for the heads up.  I will keep an eye on them. Interesting to see what the bidding does.

Honestly for diesels, they should just move to LokSound.
