I’ve been mostly playing with my new toys, power for the Fast Mail Express. During my “circa ‘49” era, the Fast Mail typically ran in two sections. Here it is going back east behind a set of BLI PA’s, looking and sounding terrific. I’ve played a bit with the programming but I’m quite happy with them; my only beef is the Mars light (See my thread in the DCC section if interested).

I have seen the World's Largest Catsup bottle at the Brook's factory in Collinsville, Illinois (near St. Louis) and that model is spot on.  A well-deserved award as is Randgust's 1st place finish.
Best regards,

Roger

Getting set up for our open house next weekend at MN Free MO N scale.   Details left to add, but resin transload business appears to be doing well.

Congratulations, @randgust.  A well earned award.  There’s a lot of other nice modeling going on this thread as well.  Kudzos, all!

On my layout this week, I’ve been scratchbuilding a highway bridge.  Just need to build the railings, and the heart of the project will be complete.  Here’s how it looks now:

I was planning on installing the scale track (made for me by @GM50 4164) on White Pine, but it add to the shipping thread, my wood ties have been stuck in Chicago for 5 days and my final tortoise has been stuck in Colorado for 6 days.

My layout progress has moved east beyond Missoula to Bonner/Milltown.  The area also introduces the Milwaukee Road on the South bank of the Clark Fork River.

I worked on my coal dealership.  I made some drawings, fired up the laser and started cutting parts for a mock-up.

And then things went a little crazy...

Don't think it's a mock-up anymore.

Excellent job on the weathered paint peeling off the wood siding.  Wow!  How did you do that?  Wire brush or something else?

Thanks.

I stained the wood with an aging gray color.  Then I kind of dry brushed the red on.  Making it cover more under the eaves and less towards the bottom.  Some individual boards I painted more solid.  If you haven't checked out any of Jason Jenson's videos on youtube, you should.  He does HO but the techniques seem to scale well.  I am going to try his weathered roll roofing for the roof.
