Are there no F9-B units to go with these?  Are those coming later, or just not being made at all?

The answer was in the video near the end, if these are a success then its a good possibility for the F9Bs and FP7s.

If I remember correctly Rapido (in HO) started out with the CP FP9 and F9 B’s  included with the Canadian set and followed up later with CN FP9’s and then eventually, after some false starts, F7 and F9 B’s and FP7’s. So I hold out hope for the same in N scale.

I have been disappointed many times using this approach with Rapido. If they make something I will buy it but I don’t set any expectations based on their HO offerings.

I turned it off when Jason started preaching to me about how its OK for Rapido to make foobie passenger cars in 25 US roads, but a sin for Intermountain to paint a standard FP-9 in Canadian colors.

So, because you got irritated at his opinion, and marketing, you stopped watching, and didn't get all of the information.....Ok

I think Lowell Smith does a way better job on his Facebook live broadcast on answering questions and keep things moving.  It seemed like the Rapido guys spent way more time talking to each other than paying attention to the questions from customers.

Well, I can't even make a snide remark around here anymore.  What's this place coming to?

Rapido’s videos are always a little on the wacky side, and there’s always a danger that they they’ll miss the mark with their humour. You need pretty talented screenwriters to avoid the pitfalls going for slapstick. Plus I think we’re all a little on edge these days. We need to give each other a little grace.

I can’t imagine Rapido not doing a FP7 some day; they have every part they need ‘cept the shell. And some pretty broad hints at the end of the video...

If they do continue with EMD Fs, I wish they'd take another look at the nose contour.

Don’t they use a laser scanner thing to make a 3D image?

Yes, but that's not what people think it is.

I'm sure it's fine for the market, but it could be better.  I don't even know if anyone else is bothered by it, but I do have an interest if they were to do more common F units in the future.

Oh, I remember that Railwire discussion.
Then my own Rapido gripe was with the meat reefer board gaps.  :)
However I liked their Turbo Train enough to buy two sound-equipped sets. But no more meat reefers for me.

Rapido just announced E8s in HO.  This is the nose I'd like to see in N for future projects.

I doubt if Rapido will ever make this in N. The market is full of BLI and Kato E units (I have one of each). Would enough people buy/ upgrade to make it a successful run? I don't know. I could definitely use one if they ever made it.
