UP NSC 60 pack for me. I wonder if the TOBX cars are next.
Which ever side of the track I am on is the right side.

Great looking cars -- however, Mr. Wallet is safe -- again.

That Celanese 3 dome is interesting. There is/was a large Celanese operation in southwest Virginia - gotta do some homework to see how long this 3 dome lasted in service. :D

EDIT: Tangent did this same number in HO: https://www.tangentscalemodels.com/product/sold-gatx-celanese-green/

I have a bunch of folks who do work for Celanese and I don't think they believe me that the first way I learned about the company was through the Bachmann train set tank car. I think I might end up with one of these just to keep on the desk to show them.

I have many of the Micro Trains 3 dome tank cars. I did shy away from getting a large collection of wine cars however I am thinking about getting both the Celanese and the Northern California winery cars. I have neither number in my collection of 467 tank cars...

THere are so few different types of steam era tank cars in N scale that I am always looking for some variety. I will certainly buy a few of the Hooker cars that Brian Bussey is kitting just to have a different car than the ACF type 27. I would love it if MT did a 2 dome car !!

I learned about Celanese with my nose (drove by there every year on the way to my grandparent's place).  :D

ProtoPhoto GATX 1404

Yes, thanks I found that photo earlier today - apparently from the 1950s (based on the auto in the photo). New info about later decades.  8)

Then they really won't believe that I first learned about the company, Celanese, when I read your post about the way that you found out about the company through the Bachmann train set tank car.  :P
