The map shows plenty of cattys in the NY/NJ areas. Not so much in MA/NH.

Eh, I don't know about that.  Have you spent much time in the Appalachia or further South? 
I've heard a lot more crick than creek when in those areas.

His reminds me. The neighbor catty corner across the street has a camper out in the driveway. For Christmas he just put up a full sized mannequin up of cousin Eddie that is drinking a beer and holding a hose from the camper to the storm drain.

And I always thought it was caddy corner not catty ? At least that is the way I say it.

Like when they tell you to sound out the word to spell it. Well what if you don't even know how to say it?

I have heard people say both crick and creek.

In Canada they say creek eh.     I visited my uncle in UP Michigan once and by the end of the week I was ending everything with eh. They say folks from Ohio don't really have an accent.
