Did some wallet modeling this week. I’ve been looking for this guy for a day or two. Bachmann’s heavy mountain.

I just need to add a sound decoder and a wee bit of weathering.

Also completed a truck bash last week. Steven Pawlow’s work inspired this project. His is shown on the project page at the Train-worx site.

I almost have a roundy-round! Maybe by the end of the weekend I'll finally be able to JFRTM!

Nice! I've managed to acquire two which I figure for a class that the C&O only had 5 of total is a good representation.  Although since I ordered one of the C&O Historical Society's "George Washington" passenger consists I might need another.

Painted and decaled Amtrak 2435 Pacific Meadow in Phase III scheme.  Started out as Kato's UP Willie James.  Only obvious error is that the window gaskets should be black - Kato doesn't sell them that way as a separate part.  Tru Color paint, Microscale decals, crappy cellphone photo (which makes it look lopsided when it isn't).

I'm sorry Dave, I'm afraid I can't do that.

My favorite (and IMO, most "American" looking) Amtrak phase!  Go red, white, and blue! Nice!

Would an extra-fine point Sharpie work for coloring the gaskets?

You can, but you can't have any excess caffeine, and you can only do a few windows at a time very slowly.

Go for it, George (if that is your real name)

Been playing with Helicon Remote for focus stacking, and GIMP for a fake sky:

That’s why I wanted at least one, too.

@GaryHinshaw,

Wow!  Even with the foam and paper scenery forms only roughed in that shot is fantastic.  That track. :drool:

I've been thinking about investing in Helicon.  I have an iPhone and a Mac, although, if necessary, I have a PC that I use for my LokProgrammer.  Any information that you can pass along would be greatly appreciated, e.g., photostacking software.

Thanks,
DFF

I received my pre-war Kato GS4 that  I won off Ebay on Friday.  Got the decoder installed (no sound) and weathered.  This is the correct power for the March 1941 Southern Pacific "Lark" that I'm working on modeling.  Yes, the GS4's stayed in the orange/red livery when pulling this train (at least until 1945 when most of them were painted black).  I wish the motor had a bit more torque as it slows down quite a bit when pulling the full 16 car train.

I need to swap out the numberboards from the Morning Daylight train number to X4449, but they were missing from the box.....grrrrr......
